
On the basis of the Jewish tradition, all Jews (those who lived before us, those who will live after us, and ourselves), stood at Mount Sinai and heard the proclamation of the Covenant, which is symbolically recreated every year in Shavuot. By planting the seven fruits with which Israel was blessed on the Deuteronomy book – “a land with wheat and barley, vines, fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey” – both Institutions renovated the commitment of our community with the Land of Israel.
Each generation knows that it is not isolated; its work is possible thanks to the achievements of the previous generations, and to the efforts to be carried out by the following ones, which may lead to the fulfillment of its own mission or not.
At the ceremony, different personalities were present, such as the Ambassador in Argentina of the State of Israel, community authorities, representatives of the Jewish Agency, officials from the Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, school high-ranking professionals, teachers, and students.
