Tzedaká – National Campaign to Collect Medicines


The 3rd National Campaign to collect medicines will take place from June 11th to 17th. Institutions from all around the country will be involved, with the purpose of collecting drugs for 4500 people who suffer from chronic illnesses and need those medicines to live.

Thanks to the effort of volunteers and institutions from all over the country, the previous campaigns raised $270.240 in medicines during 2005, and $453.423 in 2006. This translates into the possibility to keep providing thousands of people with health care.

Training by SONY – Belgrano Campus

The project on the redesign of an intelligent car is advancing. The students from Industrial Design, ICT and Mass Media tracks –ORT Belgrano campus- are working at the DAT (Integral Center of Design, Art and Technology) in order to redesign and incorporate new technologies to the Citroen car model 3CV. The students are guided by the well-known designer José Luis Denari.

Within the framework of this project, 90 students participated in certification training on SONY Xplod line, which was given by Gastón Guedes, Product Manager at SONY Argentina. Andrés Callazos, SONY Engineer who came especially from the USA, also participated and gave them the certificates. On May 17th and 18th, Mr. Callazos trained and certified our students.

Specialist from the Graduate School of Harvard University Visits ORT Almagro Campus

Twenty years ago, and as a result of a research project called “Project Zero”, Harvard Graduate School introduced an innovative pedagogical proposal which privileges understanding as the basis of schoolwork. Martha Stone Wiske (Ed. D.) was one of the specialists who worked on that initiative known as Teaching for Understanding. On May 8th, she visited ORT Technical School, Almagro campus.
