UCEMA National Contest

The University of the CEMA (“UCEMA”) has organized the “2007 UCEMA National Contest” for high schools from all over the country. Such event consists of the presentation of a business plan to start a business or launch a new product or service. These works will be evaluated by recognized professionals of the University, who will select 6 finalists among the works submitted.

This year, among the 300 projects presented, two teams of 5th-year students from the Business Administration track (Belgrano campus) were awarded:
Danilo Ponieman and Matí¬as Roitman got the 2nd position for their SHTS work, which consisted of the launching of 2 products:
  • a chip that measures the glucose in blood of diabetic people and which identifies the medical record of the patient, and
  • a GPS watch to locate people who suffer from Alzheimer’s or victims of a kidnap.

Cindy Rozental and Yanina Waisgold got the 4th-position for their PACKY project, which consisted of the development and launch of a set of hygiene products to be carried in one’s bag or briefcase. The set included toilet cover, paper hand towel, toilet paper and a sachet of hand disinfectant.
