Conference: Why do we believe that dark matter exists?

On October 10th, Dr. Susana Judith Landau will give a lecture called “Why do we believe that dark matter exists?” at Noel Werthein Auditorium, Almagro campus.

Dr. Landau works at the Physics Department of the Mathematical and Natural Sciences School of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from the UBA, a PhD in Astronomy from the Astronomy and Geophysics School of the National University of La Plata, and she is an Assistant Researcher at the CONICET.

Those who attend the meeting will have the chance to know what astronomers and physicists call ‘dark matter’. Then, they will get a detailed description of astronomical observations in galaxies and clusters of galaxies, which lead us to think that such type of matter exists in the universe.

There are limited vacancies, so those who are interested in attending please contact the Physics Department.
